Jepara in the Central Java is one of the jumping off points for the Karimunjawa Islands. It has its own certain provincial charm and can be an interesting place to spend a day or two on your way to or from the islands.
Karimunjawa is an archipelago chain of 27 pristine tropical islands off
the north coast of Central Java offering a Robinson Crusoe-like escape
from the world. The status of Karimunjawa as one of the preserved
national marine park which has beautiful underwater view. The weather
in Karimunjawa is warm, the sky is sunny and the water is clean.
Karimunjawa islands are easily reached by speedboat from Semarang or
Jepara. With an abundance of colorful reefs, a huge variety of fish,
corals and several wrecks in the area.
The
islands are quickly gaining a reputation as one of the best dive spots
in Indonesia. But you don’t even have to be a diver to enjoy the sheer
beauty of the place. The coral reefs are so close and plentiful that
they are easy to snorkel around, in fact snorkeling can provide some of
the most colorful sights. Then there are other water-sports like
jet-skiing, sailboarding, fishing and water-skiing. While Karimunjawa
rates among the best dive spots in the world, the truth is that it’s
also an idyllic tropical escape. The whispering palm trees, the
turquoise shallows of the lagoon and the white powdery sand make it.
You can make your holiday as active or as relaxing as you want, the
